John Perry Barlow once suggested to “let your life proceed by its own design,” but this can be difficult. Trying to shape the world around us is a natural human tendency. By molding our experiences into a coherent narrative, we create the chance to identify and locate ourselves within the brief window of time in which we live.
LVL3 is excited to announce the opening of Pareidolia, a two-person exhibition featuring Michael Cuadrado Gonzalez (Chicago, IL) and J. Cletus Wilcox (Louisville, KY).
The patience and faith that comes with the surrendering of authorship shouldn’t go overlooked. The acceptance of not knowing fosters gratitude for what sturdy ground is available.
Within the law of attraction exists an innate desire to communicate through the wires, a hivemind of variables hugging each other to make sense. The reasons are known but unexplainable; fear, desire, a jump at containment. Colors and shapes shift across our vision, explaining our reality to us, making us just as hungry for those particles brushing past. Evershifting, everything is constantly new.
Pareidolia will be on view from 6.21.25 – 8.3.25
Opening Reception: Saturday, June 21st, 6-9 PM
Gallery hours are Sundays 1-4 pm and can also be made by appointment. Email team@lvl3official.com or call/text 312-469-0333 to reserve a time outside of gallery hours.
