LVL3 is proud to present Rendering Emblems, a three-person exhibition featuring Austin Eddy, Beth Stuart and Olivier Kosta-Théfaine. Eddy’s works question the history of painting, and he finds his answers through creating via play. Stuart’s influence of feminist art and criticism often finds its way back into her work, transposing misshapen and awkward forms into delicate compositions. As a self-taught artist, Kosta-Théfaine takes his ideas from the city and streets, drawing in new discoveries from neglected places into his work. Rendering Emblems brings together the practices of these three artists, from three different countries, intertwined by their critical engagement with painting.
