The group show, not unlike the group hang, is typically reserved for the warmer summer months, when the pace of the artistic community slows to a near-halt. Trips and residencies are taken, leaving hometown projects on hold, and curators are left to throw a few back-room canvases on a wall and call it an exhibition.
