Lacking clear-cut routes or easy avenues of approach, an authoritative understanding of “Shapeshifters” at LVL3 is difficult to realize, which is probably the point. A two-person show by Chicago’s Dan Devening and Brooklyn-based Allison Jae Evans, the works on display in the white Wicker Park loft are as different as their makers’ temperaments.
