SANKUANZ was launched the following year after Zhe Shangguan graudated from Xiamen University (2007). In 2013, he presented his first menswear collection with runway show in Shanghai Fashion Week. In 2014, he began a new adventure. Being sponsored by GQ, he joined the London Collections Men and started releasing his collection in London. Now his stockists are EXCELSIOR, OPENING CEREMONY, H-LORENZO, JOYCE, 10 CORSO COMO and many famous boutiques.

If you had to explain your work or brand to a stranger, what would you say? I’m a fashion designer. But I’ve got nothing to say about my job. Let’s talk about something else.

What artists or designers are you interested in right now? Francis Alys.

What’s your favorite thing about your city? It is an island.

What was the last collection you saw that stuck out to you? I yearned for a pair of Air Jordans during high school.

What is your snack/beverage of choice when working in your studio? Alcohol.

What are you really excited about right now? My next collection.

If you hadn’t become a designer what do you think you’d be doing? A cook?
