Todd Kelly Morgan Mandalay

LVL3 presents Happy Little, a two-person exhibition showcasing Brooklyn-based Todd Kelly and San Diego-based Morgan Mandalay. Kelly produces paintings influenced by the gravitational pull of objects and the various ways stories are developed and told. Mandalay approaches painting as a performed event, engaging hierarchies of order and meaning within his surfaces. These artists play with the tradition of painting and the purpose of the still life; Happy Little explores meaning and objects within their creation.
