LVL3 is excited to present Too Good To Be True a two-person show featuring Chicago-based David Heo and St. Louis-based Yowshien Kuo. Kuo utilizes symbolic details to comment on the constructed and bias histories of America. The work captures the tension and disorienting experience of existing within this country. Heo’s work is focused on the culture of nightlife and subtle intimacies within this world. Lingering feelings of desire are present within the work as they capture these fleeting experiences. The work in this show follows an omnipresent misinterpretation of everyday encounters. Too Good To Be True is a reflection of how these two artists play with symbolic histories to reframe the seemingly familiar.
