VOX XIV: Omnipresent Elsewhere is Vox Populi’s 14th annual juried exhibition, featuring work by 20 contemporary artists selected by Didier William, Associate Professor of Art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, from a pool of over 300 applications.
Omnipresent Elsewhere is an excursion in the hidden and yet nameless spaces of our world. “Even a cursory glance at the world we’ve built reveals some of the monumental cultural shifts that are at play in the present moment,” said Didier William. “The artists in the exhibition Omnipresent Elsewhere provoke us to direct those glancing gazes elsewhere. They insist on materials that have been neglected, bodies that have been rendered invisible and spaces yet to be named. Their objects imagine potential futures and attempt to reignite our empathy for things unknown.”
