D∆WN is an electronic/alternative singer-songwriter based out of New Orleans. Her current album "Not Above That" is the lead buzz record for Red•emp•tion (aka The Red Era) which will be the third album of her trilogy and is currently available on iTunes and other digital retailers.

How did your interest in music begin? My father introduced me to Debussy and it was love at first listen.

How has living in Baltimore affected your music? I’m born and raised in New Orleans. No matter where I live now the New Orleans sounds stays.

What kinds of music/what musicians are influencing your work right now? I’m more about rudiments and ambient sounds. Not specific artist but more like scores. Hans Zimmer is a fav at the moment.

Do you get fan mail? What’s been the most exciting thing you have received from a fan? A tattoo of my lyrics always moves me.

What was the last show you went to that stuck out to you? Little Dragon.

What is your snack of choice when recording? Is weed a snack?

What do you do when you’re not working on music? Work on music.

What are you really excited about right now? Animation. And where the digital world is going.
